1st-2nd Astronomy
Week 1:
Day 1 – Read summary page “What is Astronomy?”
Day 2 -Complete the Word Match worksheet to review vocabulary discussed from the summary page.
Day 3 – Complete the Chapter 1 Illustrations page. Bring it to class Friday for Show and Tell.
Week 2:
Day 1 – Review Summary page “What is Astronomy?” and the Word Match.
Day 2 – Complete Ch. 1 Narration page.
Day 3 – For fun try to answer “The Solar System I’m Rhyme” worksheet. We will go over the answers in class.
*Please bring your child’s binder to class Friday. We will finish up the worksheets in class.
Week: 3
Day 1 -Read Summary Page for Chapter 2 “The Sun”.
Day 2 – Review vocabulary from the summary page. Complete the Word Match.
*If the weather is clear Friday we will do the project “Concentrating the Energy of the Sun’s Light on Friday.

Day 1 – Review vocab.
Day 2 – Complete Chapter 2 Illustrations page.
Week 5:
Day 1 – Review vocab.
Day 2 – Complete Chapter 2 Narration page.
Week 6:
Day 1 – Read Chapter 3, Mercury Summary page.
Day 2 – Complete Word Match.
*We will make a model of Mercury in class on Friday.
Week 7:
Day 1 – Review Word Match.
Day 2 – Complete Illustrations page and the Narration page.
Week 8:
Day 1 – Read Chapter 4 Summary Page “Venus”
Day 2 – Complete Word Match.
*We will complete the worksheet “Learning How Radar is Used” in class Friday.
Week 9:
Day 1 – Review Summary of Venus and the Word Match
Day 2 – Complete Chapter 4 Narration and Illustration sheets.
Week 10:
Day 1 – Read Chapter 5 Summary “Earth”
Day 2 – Complete Word Match.
